What should I expect after I join Tempo?

1. We send you your Tempo: Once you join, we ship your Tempo home gym. Your monthly membership begins when it’s delivered and repeats every month that you are a member on that day.
2. Start working out: Choose from your custom plan or our more than 2,000 guided live and on-demand classes with real-time guidance.
3. Stay motivated and make progress: Track your workouts and adjust your plan anytime in the Tempo app or by messaging your coach. 

What makes Tempo membership different?

Tempo provides the most effective training, at home. Lift smarter, train more efficiently, and easily track progress for one monthly price and no long-term contract. Working out with Tempo doesn’t require drilling holes in your walls, scheduling a delivery, or purchasing a separate membership.

Can I use an Android or Apple iPad with the Tempo Move?

No, Android and Apple iPad are not supported at this time.

How does the 30-day trial work?

From the day your Tempo is delivered, you have 30 days to fall in love with Tempo or cancel your membership. Get a full refund if Tempo is not for you, including the cost of your first month of membership. Email hello@tempo.fit to start the return process.

How do I return a Tempo home gym?

You can return your Tempo home gym within your 30-day trial period. Here are the basics of returning the Tempo home gym:
1. Keep the packaging: Hold onto the original packaging when you receive your Tempo. Otherwise, purchasing new packaging may be required to ensure the Tempo does not get damaged during shipping.
2. Contact member support: Email hello@tempo.fit to start the return process. They’ll send your return slip if you are eligible.
3. Package with care: When placing all items back in the packaging, separate the equipment accordingly. You can work with our member support team to get everything packed.
4. Ship using FedEx: You can drop it off at a FedEx location for free or schedule a pickup by FedEx at your own expense.

The Tempo Move includes the following:

What is the Tempo Core?
The Core connects your iPhone and TV to power your personal training experience by using the iPhone camera to track your movements and provide real-time feedback. It’s detachable from the cabinet, so you can place it anywhere your HDMI and USB-C power cables reach or bring it with you on-the-go.
What are the dimensions of the Tempo Move?
Everything included with the Tempo Move fits in the weight cabinet that measures 22” H x 13.5” W x 13.5” D.
How much space do I need to workout with the Tempo Move?
6 ' W x 6 ' D
Do I need to use Tempo weights?
No, but our sensors only count reps, recognize weights, and correct form when you use Tempo weights.

Can I pay for my Tempo Membership upfront?
Yes. You can choose to pay for your membership monthly, or upfront for 12 or 24 months*. You save money on your membership if you pay upfront.

What is the cost of 1:1 Fitness Coaching?
If you choose to continue 1:1 Fitness Coaching after your free trial months expire, the cost is $30/mo. You will not be automatically enrolled in 1:1 Fitness Coaching after your trial months expire. Please email hello@tempo.fit to start the process.

Can I rent the Tempo Move or Studio?
Not at the moment, no. You can buy the Tempo Move or Studio outright or finance it with Affirm.

1:1 Fitness Coaching FAQs

How does 1:1 Fitness Coaching work?
  • Activate your Tempo account: To add 1:1 Fitness Coaching to your account, go to the Membership Portal: https://app.tempo.fit/login. If Fitness Coaching or a promotional Fitness Coaching Trial was included in your purchase you can enroll from the Tempo app.
  • Select a trainer in the app: You can review their style, specialty, and experience.
  • Schedule a 30-minute video chat: In this call, you and your coach discuss your goals, routine, and lifestyle.
  • Get your custom plan: Your coach creates a flexible, personalized plan with specific Tempo classes that fit your schedule and preferences.
  • Chat & check-in with your coach: You’ll be able to chat with your coach via in-app messaging and book another 30min virtual session every quarter to recalibrate and adjust as needed.

  • What is the cost of 1:1 Fitness Coaching?
    The cost is $30/mo. You can add it to your current membership in the Membership Portal at https://app.tempo.fit/login.

    I have a 1:1 Fitness Coaching trial. How do I continue 1:1 Fitness Coaching after my trial period?
    If you have a Fitness Coaching free trial, you will not be auto-enrolled in Fitness Coaching once your trial ends. Please reach out to hello@tempo.fit or visit the Membership Portal on the Tempo homepage to continue your Fitness Coaching services.

    How many members on my Tempo account can use 1:1 Fitness Coaching?
    One. You can still have 6 individuals associated with your account, but only 1 of you will be able to enroll in Fitness Coaching.

    Can I add or remove 1:1 Fitness Coaching to or from my membership?
    Yes. With no long-term contract, you can add or remove 1:1 Fitness Coaching from your membership. Note that if you want to add it to your membership, you may need to be put on a waitlist. Email hello@tempo.fit to start the process.

    Who are Tempo 1:1 Fitness Coaches?
    The Tempo 1:1 Fitness Coaches are certified fitness trainers with different backgrounds who specialize in all areas of fitness. During your onboarding, you can browse by availability, specialty, and background to find the one you feel best fits your needs.
