Enhance the Tempo Class Experience with Apple Watch Integration

More control during class, easier tracking of your progress
Enhance the Tempo Class Experience with Apple Watch Integration
Our goal remains to empower our community to tackle their everyday lives as their strongest selves, and providing the tools to do that is crucial. Our new Apple Watch integration is one of those tools.
For Tempo’s many Apple Watch users, this will make the Tempo class experience even better and make tracking your daily fitness metrics even more seamless.

3 Features of Tempo’s Integration with Apple Watch

1. Track Your Heart Rate
The days of wearing a separate heart rate monitor while training with your Tempo are no longer. Simply wear your Apple Watch to track your heart rate during class to get in the (heart rate) zone. Make sure no other heart rate monitors are powered on to avoid the Tempo trying to connect to multiple monitors.
2. Pause Class
Instead of walking to your Tempo and tapping the screen to pause class, you’ll be able to tap your Apple Watch — think of it as a mini-remote. When you’re ready to get back to work, another tap of your wrist will resume the class (or go with the tried and true method of just tapping on your Tempo).
3. Know Your Data
Once your devices are paired, workouts will directly update on your activity ring.

With Tempo’s Apple Health integration, viewing your daily activity data — including your Tempo training — is now even simpler and more consolidated.

How to Set-Up Your Apple Watch Integration with Tempo

Of course, these new features aren’t useful if your Apple Watch isn’t properly paired with your Tempo. Here’s how to do it:
1. Make sure your iPhone, Apple Watch, and Tempo are all connected to the same WiFi network and that you have both your iPhone and Apple Watch near your Tempo.
2. Make sure you are logged into your profile on your Tempo.
3. Download and open the Tempo app on your Apple Watch.
4. Follow the on-screen steps on your iPhone.
5. Once all steps are completed, your Apple Watch should be synced with your Tempo!

To make sure that your data is being accurately recorded, please check that your Apple Watch and iPhone are always nearby when you’re training and on the same WiFi network.

What’s Next?

We know that there are many others in the Tempo community who don’t use an Apple Watch — Android, Strava, FitBit — there are so many ways Tempo athletes track their fitness goals.
This is just the first step in our device integration efforts and there’s more to come. Stay tuned for updates, and we look forward to seeing you on the mat!
